Falcons Open Outdoor Season In Oxford

Bowling Green set to compete in the Blizzard Bluster, hosted by Miami
OXFORD, Ohio – The Bowling Green Track and Field program will open the 2024 Outdoor season on Friday, March 22 at the Blizzard Buster, hosted by Miami University. The meet will take place on the George L. Rider Track with field events at 9:00 a.m. Running events are set for 10:30 a.m. This is the fourth consecutive season the Falcons will open their outdoor season at the Blizzard Buster.

Breaking Down Bowling Green
The Falcons are set to begin their outdoor campaign this Friday (March 22) at Miami (Ohio). Bowling Green placed fourth overall at the MAC Indoor Championships, with a team score of 59 points. The Falcons placed in the top half at the MAC Indoor Championships three of the last four years.
Six Falcons were named to Second Team All-MAC. The list included Tianna Mulligan, Kailee Perry, Darian Braddix, Katerina Shuble, Kylee Cubbison and Bianca Staples. Tianna Mulligan (200, 400), Katerina Shuble (mile), Morgan Patterson (60m hurdles), Kylee Cubbison (3k), Lane Anderson (shot put), Bianca Staples and Sabrina Imes (triple jump) all finished in the top eight to secure points for the Falcons.
The Falcons excelled in field events at last years Blizzard Buster. Returner, Mateya Haintz placed first in the hammer throw while Katherine Mendenhall (4th) and Jenna Lucas (5th) placed in the javelin. Katerina Shuble placed first in the 800 with a time of 2:18.16.
Up Next
The Falcons will be back in action next weekend (Mar. 28-Mar. 30) where they will split between the Raleigh Relays (NC State) and the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational (Cincinnati).
