Bowling Green Visits Muncie Indiana for Second Dual-Meet of the Season

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Gymnastics team heads to Ball State University on Sunday (Jan. 18) for its first road dual meet of the season. The meet begins at 1 p.m.

IN THE RANKINGS
• Bowling Green is ranked No. 59 in the nation per Road to Nationals. Ball State comes in at No.44.
• The Falcons are ranked No.61 on vault, No.54 on bars, No. 57 on beam and No.60 on floor.
• Ball State enters the meet No.39 on vault, No.55 on bars. No.27 on beam and No.39 on floor.

ALL TIME SERIES
• BGSU holds a 27-22 overall record against the Cardinals. Ball State has won the past three meetings against one another.
• Bowling Green's last win against Ball State came in Muncie, Ind., in 2022.
• BGSU head coach Brittney Emmons had a standout collegiate career at Ball State, where she was honored as the 2013 Mid-American Conference Senior Gymnast of the Year. A two-time team captain, she qualified for the NCAA Regionals three times as an all-arounder (2010, 2011, 2013) and competed at the 2009 regional meet on vault and floor. She earned All-MAC honors for three seasons and placed third on vault at the championship meet in 2011.

• Ball State enters the meet 1-1 on the season after splitting a tri-meet against Rutgers and Western Michigan University.

LAST WEEK
• The Orange and Brown opened their season at the Stroh Center.
• Keira Thornton finished first on floor, scoring a 9.750.
• Natasha Lopez and Addie Tandeski made their debut as Falcons.
• Nadia Parente finished third on bars, scoring a 9.700.
• Kayla Shaw finished third on floor, scoring a 9.725.
