KENT, Ohio – Bowling Green's track and field squad opened the Doug Raymond Invitational with a strong first day, highlighted by six personal records.
Sierra Podolan led the Falcons with a personal record in the weight throw, placing 14th in a field of 45 with a mark of 15.40m.
The top performance of the day came in the long jump, where Kiera Bonds posted a personal-best leap of 5.99m. The mark earned a second-place finish and moved Bonds to second on Bowling Green's all-time list. Sabrina Imes also recorded a personal best in the event, finishing eighth at 5.58m, while Morgan Patterson placed seventh with a jump of 5.70m.
In the mile, Nora Ritting and Amelia Barilla each turned in personal records. Ritting finished eighth in 5:16.44, while Barilla crossed the line in 13th at 5:23.87.
Alexsia Davis rounded out the Falcons' day with a personal record in the 200m dash, finishing eighth in 25.21 seconds.
Bowling Green returns to action Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with the shot put.
