PRs, Program Marks Highlight Falcons’ Strong Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS – Bowling Green finished strong at the Heartland Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by a triple jump title, two personal records in the 200m and a historic finish in the 4x400m relay.
The day opened in the triple jump, where Bianca Staples topped the field with a 12.58m leap. Sabrina Imes narrowly missed the podium with a 12.15m attempt, and Kiera Bonds recorded an 11.89m mark.
On the track, Kiersten Franklin and Alexsia Davis each set new personal records in the 200m. Franklin clocked 24.21 seconds, the second fastest time in program history, and Davis followed in 25.12.
In the 4x400m relay, Reagan Campbell, Tyyetta Herman, Syerra Greber and Franklin delivered the fourth-fastest time in program history, placing fourth at 3:46.46.
Bowling Green departs for both the Alex Wilson Invitational and the Silverston Invitational on Feb. 20-21.
