Gothke begins her first year as a student assistant coach for the volleyball team.
Career: Finished her Falcon career second all-time in the BGSU record books with 1,465 career digs, sixth in assists with 2,726 assists and seventh in hitting percentage (.277).
2006: First team All-Mid American Conference honoree, as well as a member of the All-Academic team ... honorable mention All-Mideast Region ... recorded 1,328 assists, the second most in school history ... her 2,726 career assist are the sixth most in Falcon history ... owns the seventh best hitting percentage (.277) of all-time ... second place all-time in school history with 1,465 career digs ... named MAC East Player of the Week twice (Sept.4, Oct. 16) ... named Tournament Most Valuable Player at the Denver Invitational ... member of the All-Tournament team at the Oakland Invitational ... recorded a triple double twice against Cleveland State (13 kills, 56 assists, 11 digs) and Morehead State (10 kills, 50 assists, 13 digs) ... hit at a .320 pace for the season ... recorded 14 double-digit dig matches ... tallied five service aces at Oakland (9/9/06) ... added six blocks (one solo) to her triple double vs. Cleveland State ... named BGSU Player of the year ... also voted Most Outstanding Competitor for the third straight season.
2005: Dual player, logging time at both setter and outside hitter saw action in all 32 matches... racked up seven triple doubles ... averaged 9.81 assist and recorded 1,118 total assist, including a 69-assist performance at Kent State (10/29/05) ... was third on the team with 229 kills... had a season-best 14 kills against regionally-ranked IPFW (10/12/05) ... along with Emily Manser, became just the second duo in Falcon history to record their 1,000th career dig in the same season ... by also recording her 1,000th career assist against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 15, she became just the second Falcon to ever hit the millennium mark in both categories ... named MAC East Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 6-13.
2004: Led the team with 366 digs and 3.42 digs per game...her 366 digs for the season ranks 11th all-time...also served as the team[apos]s setter for the final four games where she averaged 10.66 assists per game...recorded a career-high 31 digs (in three games) in a sweep over Akron...had a span of five games where she recorded 126 digs and averaged 6.00 digs per game...registered a near triple-double versus Buffalo where she posted eight kills, six digs and 38 assists...also recorded a career-high 63 assists in the MAC Tournament Opening Round...was voted by her teammates as Falcons Defensive Player of the Year, as well as Competitor of the Year.
2003: Ranked first on the team in total digs (497) as well as digs per game (4.11)...with those 497 digs she established a new school record for digs in one season, surpassing Susie Norris[apos] previous record of 462 set back in 2000...posted double-digit digs in 23 of the 31 matches, with a career-high 30 at Eastern Michigan...had a stretch where she posted 118 digs in five matches, averaging 5.9 digs per game from October 11-24...had a career-best seven assists at EMU in the MAC Tournament First Round...earned Falcon Rookie of the Year, as well as Defensive Player of the Year.
High School: Earned four letters at Anthony Wayne High School ([apos]03) ... helped the Generals of coach Meggan Morr to Northern Lakes League titles in each of her final three seasons ... an All-Ohio Second-Team selection as a senior after being named to the third team the previous year ... team had NLL record of 40-2, and overall mark of 69-9 during her last three years ... a three-time all-district first-team selection after earning honorable mention as a freshman ... team advanced to the regional finals in 2001 and the regional semifinals in 2002 ... also earned three letters in softball, two in basketball and one in track ... captained the volleyball (two years), basketball and softball (one year each) teams ... helped the softball Generals to a state title in 2003 ... senior class Vice President ...
