BGSU's Jordan Sigalet Named Defensive Player of the Week

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University goaltender Jordan Sigalet has been named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 24, 2003.
Sigalet stopped 60 of 63 shots faced this past weekend (.952 save pct.) and had a 1.39 gaa., finishing with two ties in 129:57 minutes of action at #11 Cornell and Colgate. Sigalet had 36 saves vs. the Big Red, the third-straight game with 30-or-more saves. The junior also led a penalty kill that stopped nine of 11 power-play tries in two games.
Over his last three games, Sigalet has an 0.92 gaa. and .970 save pct. in 194:57 minutes of action. He has stopped 96-of-99 shots faced, including a perfect 10-for-10 in 15 minutes of overtime. Sigalet has helped the Falcons to 0-0, 1-1, and 2-2 ties in those three games, consecutively.
Sigalet now has a 2.25 gaa. and a .923 save pct. in 800:17 minutes of action this season. The Surrey, British Columbia, native has played the most minutes of any goalie in the nation so far this season and is ranked 19th nationally in save pct. and 21st in goals-against-average.
The Defensive Player of the Week honor is his first of his career.
