BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Alicia Taylor is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Taylor, a senior on the BGSU track team, picked up a pair of first-place finishes last weekend.
Taylor, a native of Cleveland Heights, Ohio (Cleveland Heights H.S.), took home top honors in both the 200-meter dash and 100-meter hurdles in a meet at Eastern Michigan. She had a time of 23.84 in the 200 meters, the second-fastest time in school history.
Taylor also won the 100 hurdles at that meet, in a time of 14.08.
Taylor, a health science major, currently maintains a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
Up next for BG is a trip to Ann Arbor, Mich., for Friday's (May 8) Len Paddock Invitational, before the MAC Championships on May 13-15.
