Steve Wright
"Coach (Dakich) told me that I just need to relax and the next time I get an open shot just knock it in, get my feet set."
"It is hard playing on the road playing in the MAC. This conference is a good conference and you don't know...it is hard playing on the road."
Perrick "Moon" Robinson
"I'm pretty quick on the ball on the defensive end so coach just wanted to switch me and (John) Floyd on the defensive end so I could put more pressure on the ball, harrass the guards and that is what I tried to come in and do."
Coach Dan Dakich"Well, I thought that was a really hard fought game. I thought that Central was as hard a playing team as we've faced all year and that is always the way Central is. Last year, they and us had teams that weren't really representative of how things have been. We knew coming into this game it was going to be an absolute war. I'm sure they didn't play exceptionally according to Coach Smith, but I thought both teams battled and played really hard. The difference in the game may have been a lucky bounce on a three to tell you the truth. That three that Steve hit from the corner, I had actually turned away thinking that it was missed and then it pops in. That was as big as you could have. (provided the Falcons a 72-70 advantage) I don't think a lucky bounce won it for us. One of the things, if not thee thing, was Perrick Robinson coming into the game and we were able to get a stop. We were scoring, they were scoring, finally we were able to get a lucky bounce and Moon, I thought just did a fantastic job playing defense that changed the game in our favor."
"If you're going to be little, you better be scrappy and Moon is certainly that. ...Like I said, it made a difference in the game. If we weren't going to stop them, we weren't going to win."
"It was going to come down to who got a break or got some stops and we got both..."
Central Michigan Head Coach Jay Smith
"Let me first of all congratulate Bowling Green on a victory. I thought we came out and played hard. I thought our kids matched their intensity level. We made some youthful mistakes down the stretch, we missed a couple of bunnies inside, a couple free throws and a couple of turnovers out front and it seems that when you have a young team, breaks don't come your way, it seems like they go the other way. We just keep improving, I liked our intensity level, I liked the way we played, thought we did a pretty good job taking care of the ball for the most part except for the last few minutes where it really cost us."
