Bowling Green Rolls Over Urbana In Home Opener, 85-50

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Martin Samarco scored 23 points and hit four 3-pointers to lead Bowling Green to an 85-50 win over Urbana on Saturday.

Erik Marschall added 16 points, and Mawel Soler had 14 for the Falcons (2-2).

The Division III Blue Knights (1-3) had 24 turnovers, leading to 26 Bowling Green points, and never had a lead in the game.

The Falcons held Urbana to 25.5 percent shooting from the field and shot 51.7 percent. Bowling Green dominated inside, outscoring Urbana 40-14 in the paint.

Bowling Green led 40-20 at the half.

Josh Davis and Marques Fobbs each scored 10 points for the Blue Knights.
