Men's Basketball Announces 2005-06 Schedule

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will face two ACC schools, Virginia Tech on the road and Florida State on a neutral floor, during a stretch which sees them open the 2005-06 season with eight of their first 10 games away from home.
"I like the fact that we get two other exempt neutral floor games by playing at Virginia Tech in the NABC Classic and South Alabama will come to our place in 2006-07 as a condition for our participation in the Coors Classic in Mobile where we take on Florida State," said ninth-year head coach Dan Dakich. "We're moving back to the MAC's East Division this year and this non-conference schedule gives our team an opportunity to play against top-notch competition right away and prepare them for what I think is the most balanced league in the country."
The Falcons begin MAC play on January 4 at home against Central Michigan and will play in the Bracket Buster Saturday on February 18 at home. BGSU has its home opener on November 19 against Urbana and hosts NCAA Tournament participant Oakland on November 30. The Falcons also venture on the road for tilts at Bradley (November 26), IPFW (December 3), Arkansas-Little Rock (December 10) and Troy State (December 19).
