BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Due to the inclement weather that has hit Western New York, Sunday's (Oct. 15) women's soccer game between Bowling Green State University and the University at Buffalo has been moved to Kent, Ohio. The Falcons and Bulls will play at the Kent State Soccer Field, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
A freak Autumn snowstorm rocked Western New York on Thursday night and left over 300,000 residents without power. The University at Buffalo was closed on Friday and classes were cancelled. There was also a driving ban on all roads in Amherst, N.Y. -- the town where UB's North Campus is located.
The BGSU-UB game will be the second game of the day at the Kent State Soccer Field. Kent State University will meet the University of Toledo in a 1:00 p.m. start.
Admission to KSU soccer games is free.
The Falcons have an overall record of 7-8-0, and BGSU is 4-3-0 in Mid-American Conference action after Friday's (Oct. 13) 1-0 overtime win over KSU. The Bulls saw their Friday game vs. UT cancelled due to the weather.
An additional note for Falcon fans that hang on Andy Richards' every word -- post-game quotes from the BGSU head coach after Friday's win can now be found on the game story (CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE BGSU-KSU GAME STORY).
