Falcons Sit in Seventh After Day 2

TOLEDO, Ohio - At the completion of day two of the Outdoor MAC Track and Field Championships, the Bowling Green State University Falcons sit tied for seventh.
Day two saw the Falcons more than double their score with help from their 3,000-meter steeplechasers. The Orange and Brown were led by sophomore Jamie Roflow who finished second in the event behind the nations second best steeplechaser, with a time of 10:27.37 which nearly equaled her personal-best (10:27.36). Kim Settle finished sixth with a new personal-best time of 11:05.09, which places her fourth on the all-time steeplechase list. Rounding out the top eight was Stephanie Hillman, who, after running the 10,000-meter run last night, came back and finished eighth in the steeplechase with a new personal-record of 11:30.03.
In other events today, the Falcons saw Jessica White and Nicole Standback qualify for the finals in their individual events. White won her 100-meter dash semi-final heat in a time of 11.90 seconds. She's seeded third in Saturday's final. Standback, too, won her individual heat of the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 14.31 seconds and sits in third place going into Saturday's final.
