BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - With the 2006 National Hockey Draft just five days away (June 24), hockeysfuture.com has released their top-40 NCAA draft eligible players, with Jonathan Matsumoto ranking 18th.
This past season Matsumoto finished second on the team with 48 points (20g, 28a). He led the team in goals (20) and power-play goals (12). He had the only hat trick on the team, posting three goals versus Boston College, just the second game of the season. He had 15 multiple point games, and scored at least one point in 28 of 36 contests.
He finished the regular season ranked 12th in the country in points per game (1.35), tied for eighth in points (46), 12th in power-play goals (10), tied for 18th in goals (18) and 11th in assists (28).
In his two years at BGSU he has 80 points (46g and 34a) in 72 games.
