Bryant Named to All-MAC Squad

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Lauren Bryant as well as 27 other track and field athletes from around the conference were recognized for their achievements at the 2007 Outdoor MAC Track and Field Championships this past weekend as announced by the Mid-American Conference earlier this morning. The junior, who was named to the second team, earns the honor for the first time in her career.
Bryant is coming off her most successful track season as a Falcon. She placed second last week in the discus throw, with a Regional qualifying mark of 159-09. After being seeded 14th in the hammer throw, she made it all the way up to eighth place on her last throw, going 172-04.
Bryant as well as two other teammates, TaKarra Dunning and Jamie Roflow, will travel to Columbia, Missouri, to compete at the 2007 NCAA Mid-East Regional Championships. Dunning will compete in the shot put while Roflow will compete in the steeplechase.
