Bowling Green, Ohio - Falcon Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports, has reached an agreement with two local radio stations to carry the remainder of the Bowling Green State University men's basketball games, as well as the Falcons Nest Coaches Show.
Beginning with Saturday's home game against Fordham, all but five of Bowling Green's games will be broadcast on WFRO 99.1 FM, based in Fremont, Ohio. The other five games will be carried on sister station WOHF 92.1 FM. Also, the Falcons Nest Coaches Show will be carried Monday nights at 6 p.m. on WOHF.
The games that will be carried on WOHF are contests at Kent State (Jan. 14), home against Ball State (Jan. 28), home against Western Michigan (Feb. 4), at Toledo (Feb. 11), and at Buffalo (Feb. 18).
Todd Walker, the voice of the Falcons, will continue to handle the play-by-play duties for all games as well as leading the Falcons Nest Coaches Show. Former Bowling Green basketball player Kirk Cowan handles the color commentary duties for all BGSU home games.
As well, all games and the coaches show can be listened to live or on archive on the Bowling Green athletic website at www.bgsufalcons.com. The agreement does not affect those stations that are already carrying Bowling Green men's basketball games, which include WCSM 1350 AM/96.7 FM in Celina, WONW 1280 AM in Defiance, and WCWA 1230 AM in Toledo.
