For spring training our Falcon team is working hard, we have our goals set already for next season and every person on our team is giving it their all in the weight room, the pool, and even running to make sure that we as a team achieve our goal.
It makes me extremely excited to see what we will be able to do when our next season rolls around. I think that our team is hungry to for more when it comes to our MAC Championship, and that we all believe that the 2010 MAC championships can come around soon enough.
We are ready to show the other teams what the Falcons are really capable, and now that our team is going to be more experienced next year, I don't see that anything can really stop us. We lost two seniors this year, and those are big shoes to fill, but with our teams hunger and heart already during spring training, nothing will seem impossible to do.

Hey all you Falcon fans! So far as a freshman this year has been fun! The meets at Ohio University and Miami came and went fast. Although they were loses, we fought extremely hard! Just this past weekend the swimmers ventured down to Ohio State for the invitational meet and did outstandingly well. Records were broken and personal bests were made. I guess all that hard training has really paid off!
Pretty soon we will be making our way down to Florida for a full week to Ft. Lauderdale! What an exciting time! We will be down there for one week filled with two a day practices and beach time here and there. There will be several other teams down at the same training camp, so this is good news for the divers.
We will be able to get helpful tips and coaching from all the other coaches. These falcon ladies are coming back with a tan and so much practice and advice under our belts to get back into meet mode and kick some butt!
Roll Along you BG Warriors!

Hi Falcon fans! This year's season has had exciting start for the Falcons. On Saturday we won our first meet against Ball State (160-140). Everyone stepped up and swam really well under tough conditions. We also had our fundraiser trivia evening that night. This year due to the huge increase in number of guests we had to relocate the event to accommodate for everyone. The night was a lot of fun as the swimmers got chance to enjoy Halloween and dressed up in costume to help run the event. Even Howie, our assistant coach, dressed up for the event!
The Falcons also hosted the Tom Stubbs relay meet. This meet is always a lot of fun for the swimmers as we get a chance to work as a team in relay events. The Falcons took a first place finish in five of the nine relays, setting a meet record of 1:38.90 in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
This weekend the Falcons are travelling to Miami and Ohio University to compete against the Bobcats and the Redhawks. We are all looking forward to the tough competition both these teams will bring to the pool.

Sept. 23, 2008 -- OUR FIRST BLOG
Hi Falcon fans! Welcome to the new BGSU Swimming and Diving weekly blog. My name is Sami Jordan, a senior swimmer. I, along with my teammates, will be keeping you updated with the week to week progress of our team. We are currently in our fourth week of school and swimming for the 2008-2009 academic year. With 12 new freshmen and eight returners this year it's going to be a big and exciting change for our program. In our first couple weeks of training we have begun to expand our aerobic capacity along with working on the fine points of our strokes. This year everyone is much further along than we have been in the past and everyone is looking forward to getting better.
Some things that we have coming up are our first recruiting weekend and the annual Falcon biathlon. In the biathlon swimmers swim 2000 yards for time and then immediately following run a 5K. This is something very exciting for our team because we hop right out of the pool and go directly right into the run only putting shorts on over our swimsuits. We all look forward to it each year because it is something so different. To prepare for this event we have been running every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. We would love to see some of you come out to support us on September 27th for our Falcon biathlon!!
Roll Along, Sami Jordan
