BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's track and field team held its annual award ceremony this weekend, with several Falcons walking away with awards such as Most Improved, Heart of a Falcon and Outstanding Performer.
Below is a list of all award winners:
Heart of a Falcon -given to someone who has overcome adversity, is hardworking, dedicated and a true team player
Autumn Dettmann-over came a broken leg her senior year and high school and redshirted her entire freshman year and has had a breakthrough year running personal bests of 5:04.07 in the 1500m, 4:43.16 in the 1500m, 10:27.75 in the 3000m, 11:33.56 in the steeplechase this season, finished 3rd at the All-Ohio Championships in the mile and anchored the runner up DMR team.
Most Valuable Freshman Track Athlete
Saisha Gaillard-Has run personal bests of 2:19.44 in the 800m indoor and 2:19.97 in the outdoor 800m, tied for 4th at the indoor All-Ohio Meet in the 800m, was a member of the 4th place 4 X 400m relay team and also scored as a member of the runner up DMR team at the All-Ohio Indoor championships.
Most Valuable Freshman Field Athlete
Jessica Rowland-redshirted indoor season, has thrown personal bests of 154'8" in the hammer, 133'5" in the discus, and 38'4.25" in the shot
Most Improved
Kara Butler-Indoor improved her 3000m time from 10:22.53 to 10:10.02 placing eighth at the indoor championships and in the 5000m improved her time from 17:56.31 to 17:33.98 to finish sixth at the indoor championship in that event. So far outdoor season she has improved her 1500m from 4:55.32 to 4:46.36 and her 5000m from 18:00.02 to 17:28.24.
Heather Conger-Improved her indoor 800m from 2:21.17 to 2:16.78 finishing 10th and just missing the making the final by one spot. Finished second at the All-Ohio Indoor championships in the 800m and also scored at the All-Ohio Meet in fourth-place 4 X 400m and runner up DMR teams. Has improved her outdoor 800m from 2:18.67 to 2:16.84 so far this season.
Sabrina-Forstein-improved indoor from 11'6.25 to 12'1.50" and placed sixth at the MAC Indoor Championships has improved outdoor from 11'7.75" to 12' so far this season, currently ranks second all time both in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault.
Brittani McNeal-improved triple jump to 37-3.75 this season and long jump 18-7 to 19-5.5 which ranks third all time in the long jump.

TaKarra Dunning- three time All-Ohio Champion, three time MAC scorer, fifth all time in the hammer, 170'2", second All Time in the shot put 50-2.75 inches, four time regional qualifier, provisional indoor national qualifier
Whitney Hartman- All-Ohio Champion, three time regional qualifier, school record holder in the hammer 191'3", Shot Put 45'6", Discus 152'3", Weight 61'2", seven time conference scorer, All MAC second team 2008
Stephanie Hillman- two time All-Ohio Champion, two time MAC scorer, Academic All-MAC, ESPN the Magazine All-District Academic All -District IV
Kylie Korsnack-Academic All-MAC, personal bests of 11:33.87 in the steeple, has thrown 122-4" in the javelin, 18:31 o4 in the 500m and 10:27.79 in the 3000m
Shantell Lewis- two time MAC scorer, Personal best of 7.70 in the 60m, 12.12 in the 100m and 24.95 in the 200m finished second in the 60m at the All-Ohio Championships and fourth in the 200m.
Jamie Roflow- three time All-Ohio Champion, MAC Champion in the 5,000m indoor 2007, 12 time MAC scorer, All-MAC 2nd team 2006 outdoor, four year All-MAC Academic Team, two time Academic All American, member as well as school record holder in the 3000m steeplechase, the 2000m indoor and as part of the 4 X 1600m relay team, also ranks second all time in the outdoor 5,000m
Stacey Turak-ranks fourth all-time in the pole vault, has throw 149-10" in the hammer and 49'in the weight
