Mohler finished the weekend with four points, all by assist, over a two game span last weekend. During the annual RPI Holiday Tournament, he posted a pair of helpers against Alabama-Huntsville (Nov. 26) and again versus the host school, Rennselaer. Bowling Green defeated UAH, 5-1, while suffering a bitter overtime defeat to RPI, 3-2.
The freshman did all of his work on the first and last goals of each game over the weekend. Two of Mohler's assists were done while BGSU was on the power play. His final assist of the tournament was recorded with an extra skater on the ice when he threw the puck toward the RPI net before teammate David Solway tipped in the game-tying goal to force overtime in Saturday's championship game.
Mohler has now recorded multiple-point nights in three of his last four games dating back to a two-goal game against nationally-ranked Miami on Nov. 19. This is Mohler's first distinction from the league office of the season and his career. He currently has a share of the team lead in goals scored (5) and is tied for second in points (10) for the year.
