BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Tuesday afternoon's game between the Youngstown State University Penguins and the Bowling Green Falcons (25-21-1, 15-9) has been canceled due to poor weather and wet field conditions. The game will not be rescheduled.
Bowling Green's will engage in the last weekend series of the regular season beginning on Thursday against the visiting Buffalo Bulls (23-26, 9-15). The series will help decide who will win the Mid-American Conference East division. Both the Falcons and Kent State University have 15-9 conference records and are currently tied for first place in the East. The Golden Flashes, who travel down I-76 to play Akron this weekend, currently hold the tiebreaker over BGSU after taking two of three games from the Falcons last weekend.
Thursday's game versus Buffalo will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. ET at Warren E. Steller Field. Friday and Saturday's games will feature 1:00 p.m. ET first pitches. Saturday will also spotlight the nine graduating seniors that will be playing in their last game at "The Stel", with pregame festivities honoring those individuals commencing before the start of the game.
Full coverage, including a special audio broadcast provided by the BGSU Athletic Communications Department, will be provided through BGSUFalcons.com and Gameday Central.
