Carpenter Named CCHA Rookie Of The Week

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Freshman Ryan Carpenter was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Gongshow Rookie of the Week, following his efforts in the opening weekend against UConn. The league office made the announcement on Monday morning.
The Florida native posted a goal and three assists over the weekend, giving Carpenter a share for the team lead in points (4).
Carpenter's goal on Friday marked the first time a Bowling Green freshman had scored in a season opening game since Kevin Schmidt back in 2005.
Below is a look at Carpenter's goal on Friday, as well as one of his assists to sophomore Bryce Williamson.
