Clay Duncan was named to the 2011 Academic All-MAC team by the league office.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference office has released the 2011 Academic All-MAC selections. Among the 23 named student-athletes, Bowling Green first baseman Clay Duncan earned his way among the top scholars.

Duncan met or exceeded each of the qualifications necessary to be eligible for the nomination to the Academic All-MAC team that include a minimum 3.20 grade point average and participation in at least 50 percent of the team's games. First-year student-athletes and freshmen are not eligible.
The Norwalk, Ohio native finished his senior season batting at a .305 clip, second on the team. He scored 28 runs, knocked eight doubles and two home runs and belting a team-high 30 RBI. He was named to the All-MAC Second Team prior to the start of the MAC Tournament this year and served as tri-captain for the Falcons.
Duncan will complete his degree in Criminal Justice this summer.
