Bowling Green, Ohio – Former Bowling Green State University captain David Solway has signed a contract with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL. Solway joins the Wings after spending the past four seasons (2007-10) as a member of the Falcons. He joins fellow BGSU alumnus Brandon Svendson as a member of the Wings.
During his tenure with the Falcons, Solway tallied 31 goals and 42 assists (73 points) in 146 games played. The Wisconsin native captained the Falcons last season, earning him the Dr. Ron Zweirlein Leadership Award.
This will be Solway's second stop in the ECHL, after a brief stint with the Toledo Walleye at the end of last year. Solway registered one assist in three games played.
Prior to college, Solway split two years of junior hockey with the Santa Fe Roadrunners of the North American Hockey League and the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League.BG Hockey Postgame 3.6
