A special look at the work done behind the scenes by Everett Fitzhugh.."The Voice" of the Falcons
Throughout the months of December and January, BGSU Athletic Communications will release a series of videos detailing the work done behind the scenes at the BGSU Ice Arena and on the road.
This installment focuses on the work done behind the scenes by Everett Fitzhugh, the Falcons radio play-by-play announcer.
Fitzhugh, who is in his third season as play-by-play commentator for Bowling Green, is no stranger to the Falcon hockey program. Through his work with the Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization (BGRSO), he has done color commentary in over 20 hockey games for the Brown and Orange and has attended the previous two CCHA media days as a representative for the BGRSO before joining as the full-time play-by-play broadcaster.
A five year member of BGRSO, Fitzhugh has also taken part in BGSU men's and women's basketball and baseball broadcasts as both a play-by-play and color analyst. He was also an intern with the Lake Erie Monarchs of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, where he served as a color analyst in 2008-09.
Fitzhugh graduated from BGSU in the fall of 2011 with a degree in sport management.
