Falcons Welcome Ice Frogs To BGSU Ice Arena

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. – The Bowling Green State University ice hockey team will welcome the Black Swamp Ice Frogs to the BGSU Ice Arena, Sunday, Sept. 16, for an open skate with the Falcons. The Ice Frogs, a team that caters to hockey players with developmental disabilities, is the newest member of the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA). The ASHA was formed in 2000, and operates under USA Hockey.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m., and will feature several players on the BGSU ice hockey team. Hockey equipment is not required, while skate rental is free to volunteers and aides. Those interested in volunteering can contact Michael Howick (mjhowick@hotmail.com) with any specific questions.
