Ice Hockey Bus Tour: Andrew Wallace

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Senior forward Andrew Wallace took BGSUFalcons.com behind the scenes last weekend to show what the Bowling Green State University ice hockey team has been traveling in for the 2013-14 season. The Falcons joined six other teams in the newly formed Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), which features 10 total teams.
It has been estimated that the Falcons will travel 7,938 (round trip) miles on the pavement. Bowling Green has already made trips to Minnesota State (12 hours) and Union College (10 hours), with trips to Alabama-Huntsville (9 hours), Lake Superior State (9 hours), Michigan Tech (10 hours) and Northern Michigan (8 hours) still left on the schedule. BGSU will travel roughly 3,770 miles more in the 2013-14 season than last year.
Bowling Green currently owns a 5-3-2 overall record, while sitting at 3-1-0 in league play. The Falcons will be on the road this weekend (Nov. 15-16) to take on 14th-ranked Ferris State University at Ewigleben Ice Arena, in what will be a two-game set with first place up for grabs. The puck is set to drop at 7:07 p.m. on both nights.
