The Falcons scored five goals over then-No.12 Minnesota State to split the WCHA weekend series at the BGSU Ice Arena, earning two points in league standings.

Bowling Green, Ohio-- Every week, the BGSU Athletic Communications Department will post a video of the Falcons' highlights from the previous weekend. Bowling Green was back in action on their home ice in front of the Falcon faithful for a crucial early season WCHA matchup against No. 12 Minnesota State. The Orange and Brown totaled five goals in two games against the Mavericks, earning two points in a weekend series split. Sophomore Kevin Dufour scored one goal on Saturday night, giving him a nation-leading nine goals for the season. Meanwhile, Tyler Spezia --who was named WCHA Rookie of the Week earlier this week, tallied a total of three goals over the weekend to help the Falcons improve to 3-1-0 in the WCHA standings.
