Ice Hockey Weekend Highlights: Week 9 - Northern Michigan

The Falcons scored a season-high 10 goals over the weekend, earning three of out the possible four points over the Wildcats in a top-20 showdown.
Bowling Green, Ohio-- Every week, the BGSU Athletic Communications Department will post a video of the Falcons' highlights from the previous weekend. Entering the week ranked 14th in the USCHO poll, the Orange and Brown treked to Marquette, Michigan to take on Northern Michigan in a WCHA top-20 clash for a two-game set. The Falcons took on the best defensive team in the nation, and posted 10 goals over the weekend to earn three points in league standings. Now ranked 13th in the USCHO, the Falcons stand at 11-3-2 overall and 8-1-1 in the WCHA -- marking their best start to a season since 1995-96. The Falcons will be idle until Saturday, Jan. 3, where BGSU will take part in the Winterfest outdoor game at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, Ohio.
