Falcons Picked Second In MAC Preseason Poll

BGSU picks up 52 votes in preseason poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio—The Mid-American Conference Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll was released on Wednesday morning by the conference office. Bowling Green, the 2013 MAC Tournament champions, was picked to finish second in the East Division by the 12 head coaches from around the MAC.
The Falcons received 52 votes, behind only Kent State's 71 votes in the East Division. Kent State received 11 of the 12 first place votes in the East.
In the West Division, Ball State was picked just ahead of Central Michigan. The Cardinals, who were beaten by BGSU in the MAC Tournament championship a season ago, received 57 votes and four first place votes. CMU picked up 56 votes and three first-place votes of their own.
Seven different teams received votes to win the MAC Tournament, including Bowling Green who received one vote.

The Falcons begin the 2014 campaign on Friday when they take on Belmont in the first game of a three-game series. Friday's game will begin at 4:00 pm CT, while Saturday and Sunday will both start at 1:00 pm CT.
