Bowling Green – Duke Pieper, who has spent the past few seasons helping the Falcon hockey program at Bowling Green, recently was featured on Fox Sports North on his recovery from serious health issues that kept him from playing the game he loves. In December of 2008, Pieper was treated with a tumor in the brain, called Cavernous Humangeoma.
"It makes me pretty proud of myself and I am pretty happy," Pieper said. "There is a lot of work to be done still. I like to get back to work and that's just my attitude."
You can watch the full episode above on Pieper's success story. The Falcons are currently ranked No. 6 in the nation, and sit at 14-4-4 overall on the season. Bowling Green will take on Lake Superior State this weekend at the BGSU Ice Arena at 7:07 p.m. on both nights.
