Winning Ways: Hard Work Pays Off For Hockey, Men's Basketball

Bowling Green, Ohio - Tradition is strong for both the hockey and men's basketball programs at BGSU. The hockey team won the 1984 NCAA Division I National Championship and the men's basketball program has a long history of success both individually and as a team. And both programs are revitalized. The hockey team is 18-7-5 and has been ranked among the top 10 teams in the country for more than a month. The basketball team is 17-6 and holds sole possession of first place in the MAC.

And don't forget that both teams play at home twice this week. The men's basketball team looks to move closer to the No. 1 seed for the MAC Tournament when it hosts Miami Wednesday night at 7 pm and then Buffalo Saturday at 2 pm as game one of a tripleheader (including women's basketball at home at 5 pm). The hockey team looks to solidify its place in the NCAA Tournament by hosting Northern Michigan Friday and Saturday at 7:07 pm.
