BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University baseball team held its first spring practice Friday afternoon at Perry Field House. The team opens the 2016 season three weeks from today on Feb. 19 in Johnson City, Tennessee, where they will play a three-game series against East Tennessee State University.
The practice started around 2:30 p.m., and wrapped up about two hours later. For most of the session, pitchers threw bullpens, and also live batting practice. Batters got to face a number of different pitchers, and also worked on their swings on the side. The final portion of practice was focused on conditioning, where the players jumped rope.
