HEAD COACH'S THOUGHTS
Kerrie Turner: "Thursday night at Illinois State will be an opportunity to again focus on hit routines and a great score to build our regional qualifying score. We enter this weekend ranked 38th nationally and we know we must make it to the top 36 to go to NCAA regionals as a team. I feel Thursday is a great time to build our away score portion of this. My expectations of the team is to stay focused and truly confident. The score is a result of the performances and the effort must be in the routines.
Â
Saturday we will host Northern Illinois and it will be a special day to recognize our seniors. This will be our last home competition of the season and I really want the team to build a record breaking score at this meet. What a great way to honor Alyssa and Caroline. My seniors have been essential to the excellent culture surrounding our program. They have been fully committed to the mission and goals of our program since day one. I know this will be an amazing meet and a great score for our RQS."

Just two days later, the Minnesota native helped her team to a season-high 195.725 team score. On BGSU's first event, Ellingboe shined on beam, scoring a career-high 9.875, earning her a first place finish on the event. She then tied her career-high on bars (9.875) for a third place finish overall.
Â
ALL-AROUND SUCCESS
Alyssa Nocella and Lauren Feely rank first and fourth, respectively, in conference all-around standings, putting them both well within regional contention.
Â
In the first of two meets this past weekend, Nocella won the all-around with a 39.275, which was her second highest score of the season. Following a 9.750 vault, she scored her second 9.900 of the season on uneven bars to win the event. The senior added a second-place tie to her night, scoring a 9.850 on floor exercise.
Â
Two days later, she earned fourth place in all-around with a 39.050, contributing to the Orange and Brown's season-high score of 195.725, a mark good for sixth best in program history. Nocella received a 9.850 on bars followed by a 9.725 on beam. Then, tying for third, Nocella earned a 9.900 on floor exercise, which is her second 9.900 of the season on the event. Against Central Michigan this past Friday, Feely kicked off the meet on vault for the Falcons and took first place for BGSU's third individual title of the night. Her score of 9.850 was a season-high, as well as a team-high for all of 2016. As a team, the Orange and Brown received a 48.800, which ties the team's season-high. Feely also received a 9.775 on balance beam before ending her night with a 9.825 on floor exercise.
