Walker Agrees to Terms with Ontario Reign of the AHL

ONTARIO, Calif. – Two-year captain and recent graduate of the Bowling Green hockey program Sean Walker has signed with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Reign is the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).
This past season, Walker played in all 41 games for the Falcons and earned his second All-WCHA Second Team honors after tallying 10 goals, 14 assists and 24 points, in addition to going plus-15 on the ice. A native of Keswick, Ontario, Walker led the Falcons with 160 career games played and marked 22 goals and 58 assists for 80 points and went plus-47 as a defenseman.
On the ice, Walker served as team captain for both his junior and senior seasons, while off the ice he graduated from Bowling Green State University last month with a degree in Supply Chain Management.
Walker is the third player from the 2016-17 roster to sign an AHL contract, and fifth overall to join the professional ranks this spring. The four other players from the 2016-17 season to sign a professional contract include Kevin Dufour (South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL), Mark Friedman (Lehigh Valley Phantoms, AHL), Chris Nell (Hartford Wolf Pack, AHL) and Matt Pohlkamp (Toledo Walleye, ECHL).
