For the third consecutive year ticket prices will remain the same!
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Ticket Office has announced that season tickets for the 2017-18 Bowling Green hockey season are now on sale. To renew or purchase season tickets, visit BGSUFalcons.com/tickets, call 877-BGSU TICKET, or visit the BGSU Ticket Office in the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
"Once again, we have a very challenging home schedule with a combination of difficult WCHA league opponents, along with some familiar non-conference rivals," Bowling Green hockey head coach Chris Bergeron said. "Season ticket holders are crucial in continuing to make the Slater Family Ice Arena a difficult place for opposing teams to visit."
For the third consecutive year, the Falcon hockey program has finished with a 20+ win season by a record of 21-18-2 in the 2016-17 campaign, resulting in its first conference championship appearance since 1988. For the upcoming season, the Falcons 18 home games will include four non-conference matchups and 14 Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) games. After opening the season at home with a pair of exhibition matchups against Wilfrid Laurier and the U.S. National Team Development Program, Bowling Green will welcome highly-anticipated Michigan State to the Madhouse on Mercer on Oct. 13. The Falcons will then host in-state rival Miami in a series from Nov. 24-25, and will welcome Western Michigan to the Slater Family Ice Arena on Dec. 28 to conclude non-conference action.
"Even with the tireless efforts of countless individuals – coaches, student-athletes and administrators – we cannot do it without our fans and the people that support us. None of what has been accomplished throughout the history of this program could have been achieved without Falcon Fans" Director of Athletics Bob Moosbrugger said. "Thus, BGSU Athletics will not increase ticket prices at the Slater Family Ice Arena for a third consecutive year as a way to thank our loyal season ticket holders and hopefully engage new fans throughout northwest Ohio."
Payment plans are available for purchasing season tickets with final payment being needed by September 1, 2017.
In total, season ticket holders will have a minimum of 20 opportunities to watch the team. In addition, WCHA First Round series tickets are INCLUDED if the Falcons should host, as they have in each of the past four years. Season ticket holders will also receive priority access to home WCHA semifinals and championship games, as well as NCAA Tournament tickets. Complimentary season ticket holder parking is available for all Falcon Club members as well.
Back by popular demand, the ticket exchange program is a unique opportunity for season ticket holders to make sure they never waste a ticket. Exchange your ticket for a game you are unable to attend for an extra ticket to another game (pending availability).
Ticket prices will be the same as for the 2016-17 campaign, where general admission tickets are just $169 and bench reserved tickets are $217. Faculty/staff/retirees can get bench reserved season tickets at the general admission price. Prime chairback season tickets are $313 and a $250 Falcon Club donation is also required.
For 2016-17 season ticket holders, renewals are underway with an Aug. 11 deadline to retain the same seat as last year. Special renewal giveaway prizes will begin July 3. The earlier fans renew their season tickets, the more drawings they will be entered in.

On its way to the 2017 WCHA Championship game, the Falcons went on a seven-game win streak, the longest of Coach Bergeron's career and longest since the 1987-88 season. Additionally, the Bowling Green squad tallied a total of 18 notable conference and national awards, including 10 WCHA Players of the Week, four All-WCHA honorees, three WCHA Players of the Month, and an NCAA Hockey No. 1 Star of the Week award in addition to garnering a total of 13 WCHA All-Academic Student-Athletes.
For the upcoming season, the Falcons will look to return nine of 12 forwards who appeared in the WCHA Championship, as well as five of seven defensemen for the 2017-18 campaign.
