Alec Rauhauser Voted WCHA Defenseman Of The Month

Bloomington, Minn. – Alec Rauhauser of the Bowling Green State University hockey program has been awarded Defenseman of the Month by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. This after he tallied seven points during the month of October.
Senior captain Alec Rauhauser was one of the scoring leaders for Bowling Green in October with seven points on two goals and five assists. The native of Bismarck, N.D. tallied three points in BGSU's win at Miami on Oct. 6 and scored a point in each of the Falcons' games against RIT (Oct. 11), Western Michigan (Oct. 18-19) and Michigan Tech (Oct. 25). Rauhauser's seven points were the most among defensemen in the WCHA for the month, and tied for sixth among all scorers. He also recorded seven blocks on the month. As of now he also leads the Falcons in plus/minus.
This is Alec Rauhauser's fifth career Defenseman of the Month honor. He is the first WCHA monthly award winner for the Orange and Brown of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Falcons will be off this upcoming weekend before continuing WCHA play the week after at Alaska Anchorage. BGSU will play the UAA Seawolves in a two game series in Anchorage, Alaska on the weekend of November 15-16. Both games will be 11:07 PM ET puck drops.
