Falcons To Travel North To Face Oakland

Bowling Green, Ohio - For the second consecutive year, the Falcons and Grizzlies will face off, this time in Rochester for the first time since 2014. The match will be the first single game road match for Bowling Green, as the previous road matches were part of the Golden Dome Invitational.
Looking Back At Matchup History
In Coach Tomic's tenure at Bowling Green, the Falcons are 2-3 against Oakland with the last win being in Rochester during the 2013 season. In last year's matchup, the Grizzlies were victorious in a match that went four sets. However, from that team, Oakland saw their setter graduate, who contributed 37 assists a year ago.

Last Time Out
The Orange and Brown hosted the Hampton Inn Bowling Green Invitational this past weekend, competing against Butler, Charlotte and Cleveland State. Across three matches, the Falcons finished the weekend 3-0, capturing the top spot in the Invitational, highlighted by the season's first sweep, coming against Charlotte.

Oakland This Year
Oakland has gone 4-2 over six matches, competing in the Michigan Invitational and the CEFCU Bradley Invitational. Their first two matches of the season came via sweep, a loss to Michigan followed by a win over Tennessee Tech. At home, the Grizzlies hosted Northern Arizona as part of the Michigan Invitational, winning 3-1.

Scouting The Grizzlies
Early in the season, Oakland has used a team approach across the stat sheet. Both AnnaBelle Tomei and Madison Ross have registered 121 assists while five players have over 30 digs, being led by Lindsay Wightman with 89. Also, of the eight eight players to register blocks this season, five already have double digits in the category. As for kills, Jamie Walling leads Oakland with 89.
