WCHA Releases 2020-21 Coaches' Poll, Kruse Selected As Preseason Co-Player Of The Year

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Bowling Green State University hockey program was voted to finish third in the WCHA in the 2020-21 WCHA Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Falcons were projected to finish with 78 points and received three first place votes. The Orange and Brown were selected to finish third in the WCHA Media Poll as well, which can be found here. The Coaches' Poll also included various recognitions. Brandon Kruse tied with Dryden McKay for the WCHA Coaches' Preseason Player of the Year with each player receiving four votes. Two others also received votes, one being Connor Ford. The Preseason Rookie of the Year was also voted on with Ethan Scardina receiving a vote.
The vote also resulted in the All-WCHA Preseason Team with the vote being paced by Kruse as well. Kruse tied for the most votes with seven. Not far behind, in another tie, was Ford with four votes. The two ties resulted in four forwards being named.
