Ryan O'Hara Named CCHA Forward Of The Week

Sophomore totals three points as Falcons sweep St. Thomas
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association has recognized four student-athletes as its Players of the Week for the previous week of competition. Bowling Green's Ryan O'Hara was named CCHA Forward of the Week, his first honor of the season. The sophomore recorded a goal and two assists to lead the Falcons to a series sweep of conference foe St. Thomas.
CCHA Forward of the Week: Ryan O'Hara, Sophomore, Bowling Green
Ryan O'Hara led the Bowling Green Falcons to a series sweep with three points on the weekend, tallying a goal and two assists. On Friday, he scored a power play goal on a redirect, giving the Falcons a 2-1 lead. It was his second power play goal and fifth total goal of the year. Earlier in that game, he earned an assist on Ethan Scardina's power play goal. The following night, he registered an assist on Austen Swankler's game-winning goal, breaking a 2-2 tie with just 17 seconds left in regulation. The sophomore has four assists on the season, giving him nine points, which ranks second on the team.
This is O'Hara's first conference honor of the season and second of his career. He earned CCHA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 14, 2021. He is the fourth Falcon to be earn a conference honor, joining Austen Swankler, Christian Stoever, and Zack Rose.
