BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball program will take on the Toledo Rockets at Fifth Third Field on Tuesday (May 10) to conclude the Battle of I-75. The game is set for a 7:00 p.m. first pitch at the home of the Toledo Mud Hens and will serve as the rubber match for the series after a weekend split, despite Tuesday being a non-conference contest.
Tickets start at $8 each with student tickets priced at $5. Gates are set to open at 6:00 p.m. Current weather forecasts are calling for a beautiful night for baseball with temperatures around 80 degrees, sunny skies and a slight breeze.
This will be the second annual Fifth Third Field game between the Falcons and Rockets, a tradition that started during the 2021 season. Last year's game began the series and saw seven runs scored in the Triple-A ballpark.
The 2022 edition of the Fifth Third Field game will conclude the series this year after the two teams split the weekend slate. The series was shifted to doubleheaders on both Saturday (May 7) and Sunday (May 8). Both days saw the Rockets claim the first game before the Falcons fought back to even the series. The weekend split will turn the attention to Tuesday's game to decide this year's winner in the Battle of I-75.
