2022-23 Promotional Schedule Announced For Bowling Green Hockey

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Hockey program has announced the promotional schedule for 2022-23 home games. 13 of the Falcons' 19 home games will have a promotion, beginning with an Orange Out for the home opener against Michigan State on October 8.
On November 4, the Falcons face Michigan Tech for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. Various faculty and staff from BGSU will be recognized throughout the game. The following weekend, Bowling Green hosts St. Thomas for Heroes Night (Nov. 11) and Youth Hockey Night (Nov. 12). Heroes Night, taking place on Veterans Day, will celebrate former and active military members.
Bowling Green hosts defending CCHA champion Minnesota State on December 9 for a White Out, then holds another Orange Out for the December 16 game against Ohio State. Last season, the Falcons and Buckeyes played in front of a sellout crowd of 5,000 at Slater Family Ice Arena. The final home game of 2022 is on December 30 against RPI, which will be Pediatric Cancer Awareness night.
The home slate continues January 6 against Lake Superior State, which is Dollar Night. Tickets, parking, and select concessions items will be sold for just $1 each. One week later, BGSU hosts Bemidji State for Jurassic Puck Night, celebrating 30 years of Jurassic Park. The second game of the series will be Hockey is for Everyone, with LGBTQ+ and minority groups celebrated throughout the night.
On February 3, the Falcons host Ferris State for Star Wars Night. The series continues February 4 with the Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are invited to bring a teddy bear to throw on the ice after the first Falcon goal. The bears will be collected and donated to a children's hospital through BGSU's partnership with Dance Marathon.
The final promotional game is Senior Night, held on Friday, February 24, against Northern Michigan. The Falcon Hockey program will recognize seniors Alex Barber, Nathan Burke, Max Coyle, Chase Gresock, Hunter Lellig, Adam Pitters, Zack Rose, Taylor Schneider, and Zach Vinnell.
