Stoever Named CCHA Goaltender Of The Week

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced the CCHA Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Oct. 9). Of those named, Bowling Green's Christian Stoever was named after the opening week of college hockey. Stoever was named the CCHA Goaltender of the Week, after the Falcons split the opening weekend series with the Robert Morris Colonials.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Christian Stoever, Goaltender, Bowling Green
Stoever had a shut-out performance in the season opener against the Colonials Saturday (Oct.7) recording 27 saves, while being in the net for all 60 minutes of the game. He also added 24 saves on Sunday in the Falcons home opener, tallying 51 total saves on the weekend. Stoever now holds a 1,619 career save record, also recording his third career shut out game. The first shut out was November 6, 2021 vs. St. Thomas at home (3-0, 18 saves). The second shut out being on the road against Ferris State (6-0, 39 saves).
Stoever is a four all-time CCHA Goaltender of the Week (12/13/21; 11/7/22; 1/3/23; 10/9/23) and was named CCHA Goaltender of the Month in November of the 2022-23 season.
