Cole Moore Named CCHA Goaltender of the Week

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced the Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Dec.11). Of those named, Bowling Green's Cole Moore was named for the games on December 9-10. Moore was named the CCHA Goaltender of the Week, after the Falcons swept the conference series with the Ferris State Bulldogs. This will be the Falcons second CCHA Goaltender of the Week award and third Player of the Week award, this season. Christian Stoever was Goaltender of the Week October 9 and Brody Waters was named Rookie of the Week November 27.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Freshmen Cole Moore, Bowling Green
Cole Moore recorded 73 saves on the weekend, helping the Falcons to the first sweep of the season. Moore recorded his first collegiate shut out on Friday, December 8 in Slater Family Ice Arena saving the 39 shots that he faced. Moore also recorded a second best, season-high with 39 saves on Friday. Moore set the season high on October 21, at Western Michigan with 42 saves. On Saturday, December 9 Moore recorded 34 saves to help the Falcons secure the sweep against Ferris State.
Moore joined the Falcons this season after playing with the Aberdeen Wings (NAHL) where he recorded a .918 save percentage and 2.55 goals against average through 46 games. Moore spent 2,916 minutes in the net, which ranked third in the NAHL.
