Pfoh Earns First CCHA Weekly Award in the Dennis Williams Era

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association has recognized four student-athletes as its Players of the Week for the previous week of competition. Bowling Green's Brett Pfoh was named CCHA Forward of the Week, his first honor of the season. The junior recorded two goals to lead the Falcons to a series sweep of the Mercyhurst Lakers.
This is Pfoh's first conference award honor of his career as well as the first for Bowling Green in the 2024-25 season. Notably, this marks the first CCHA weekly conference award under new head coach Dennis Williams.
CCHA Forward of the Week: Brett Pfoh, Junior, Bowling Green
Brett Pfoh led the Bowling Green Falcons to a series sweep with two points, tallying two goals in Saturday night's game. Pfoh opened the scoring for the Falcons on Saturday night with a breakaway goal that went in five-hole against the Mercyhurst Lakers. It was his first goal of the year. After the Falcons came from behind in the game, to force overtime, Pfoh netted the game-winner just over a minute into the extra period. After cycling the puck through the offensive zone, Pfoh weaved through two defenders before taking a shot that hit the top left-hand corner to win the game, 5-4 in overtime. With the second goal, the junior is averaging a goal a game with 2 goals in as many games.
