Moore, Doran Named CCHA Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced the Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Feb. 19). Of those named, Bowling Green's Cole Moore and Ben Doran were named for the games on February 16-17. Cole Moore was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week while Ben Doran was named CCHA Rookie of the Week. This tallies as Moore's third CCHA weekly nod and fourth CCHA award. Moore is the only Falcon that has earned multiple CCHA awards on the season. While Ben Doran earning his first CCHA player of the week award and is the fourth Falcon freshmen to do so this season.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Cole Moore, Freshmen, Bowling Green
Freshmen, Cole Moore recorded 32 saves through 43 minutes on Friday night in the 3-3 shootout win over St. Thomas. Moore saved every shot he saw on Friday night, including the shootout. On Saturday, Moore recorded 30 saves and allowed one goal. Moore records a .922 save percentage and 2.64 goals allowed average. through 20 games. Moore's record is now 10-9-1 on his rookie season. Moore was last named CCHA Goaltender of the Week earlier this month (Feb. 12) and also on December 11th. Moore was also named Rookie of the Month on January third. Moore now holds four CCHA awards on the season.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Ben Doran, Freshmen, Bowling Green
Freshmen, Ben Doran scored the shoot-out goal that gave the Falcons two points on Friday, also recording an assist. On Saturday Doran scored the third goal for the Falcons, that secured the three points and also recording an assist. Doran's goal on Saturday was a short-handed goal on an empty-net. Doran records two goals on the season and five assists.
