Falcon Hockey Unveils 2024-25 Schedule

Season opener set for October 5th, home opener on October 12; Bowling Green to play 17 home in Slater Family Ice Arena and 17 on the road.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green hockey program has announced its full schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Falcons are set for 34 games, with 26 being CCHA contests. Bowling Green will hit the road for 17 away games and will play the other 17 in Slater Family Ice Arena, including 12 road and 14 home CCHA tilts. All games are set for 7:07 p.m. ET, unless noted otherwise.
The 2024-25 season opener will take place in Erie, Pa. where the Falcons will face Mercyhurst for a road series (Oct. 5 - Oct. 6). The following weekend BG is set for a home-and-home series against Western Michigan. The Falcons will travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. on Oct. 11 and will return to Bowling Green for their home opener on October 12. On Oct. 19 the Falcons will fly to Rochester, N.Y. where they will face RIT for a one game weekend. To close out the October slate, the Falcons will face Ohio State for a home-and-home series. BG will travel to Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 25 and return to BG Oct. 26 for a 7:07 p.m. puck drop in Slater Family Ice Arena.
The Falcons will open November with a home series against conference member Ferris State (Nov. 1-2). BG will have a bye weekend and return to the ice Nov. 15-16 for an away series against St. Thomas. The Orange and Brown will close out November against Michigan Tech at home (Nov. 29-30) both games set for 7:07 p.m.
BGSU hockey is set for five games in December, beginning with a road series in Mankato (Dec. 6-7). The following weekend, the Falcons will face Northern Michigan in Slater Family Ice Arena (Dec.13-14). To close out the December slate, BG will face RIT for the second time at home on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 3:00 p.m.
The Orange and Brown will open 2025 with a series in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. where they will face Lake Superior State (Jan. 3-4). The next weekend the Falcons will return home for a series against Bemidji State (Jan. 10-11) and hit the road Jan. 17-18 to face Ferris State for a second time, in Big Rapids, Mich. Jan. 24-25 BG will face Augustana for the second time since their inaugural season in 2023-24. Augustana will become a full fledged CCHA member in the 2025-26 season. The next weekend, BG will end the January slate and open February at Marquette, Mich. where they will face Northern Michigan (Jan. 31 - Feb. 1).
The Falcons will face St. Thomas for the second time of the regular season (Feb. 7-8) at home. The next weekend, BG will have a bye and be back in action Feb. 21-22 where they will travel to Bemidji, Minn. for the second match up against the Beavers. The Falcons will close out the regular season in Slater Family Ice Arena (Feb. 28 - Mar. 1) against Lake Superior State, for the second meeting of the season.
The CCHA Mason Cup Quarterfinals are scheduled for March 7-9, top four teams hosting the first round. The CCHA Semifinals are set for March 15, the two highest remaining seeds are set to host. The CCHA Mason Cup Championship is set for March 21 and the highest remaining seed will host.
