Stoever Earns First CCHA Weekly Award of 2025

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association has recognized four student-athletes as its Players of the Week for the previous week of competition. Bowling Green's Christian Stoever was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week, his second CCHA honor of the season and fifth CCHA weekly award of his career. The senior recorded his second shutout of the season and sixth of his career.
This is Stoever's second conference award of the season after earning CCHA Goaltender of the month for the month of December. Bowling Green now has earned five CCHA weekly awards for the 2024-25 season after junior Brett Pfoh earned CCHA Forward of the Week in the first week of the season and both junior Dalton Norris, earning twice, and sophomore Breck McKinley earning CCHA Defenseman of the Week.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Christian Stoever, Senior, Bowling Green
Stoever stopped 71 of 72 shots he faced against in sweep of the Lake Superior State Lakers. On Friday night, the senior goaltender stopped all 34 shots he faced for his sixth career shutout and second of the season. The Northville, Mich., finished the weekend with a .986 save percentage and a .501 GAA over the weekend in 119:45 of action.
