BGSU Non-Conference Schedule To Include Trips To Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team and Head Coach Kyle Hallock announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 schedule. The Falcons will be embarking on their sixth season under Coach Hallock after going 33-22 a year ago with a 19-11 standing within the Mid-American Conference. The record granted BGSU back-to-back 30-win seasons for the first time since 2001-02. The 2026 schedule is currently set to see 21 non-conference games, against 14 different non-conference opponents, and 33 conference contests.
For Bowling Green this season, the schedule will consist of playing eight teams that posted 30-win seasons in 2025, including five of the first six opponents on the year. Additionally, the Falcons will take on three teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament.Â
The Falcons first home game is set for March 17, hosting Findlay in a 3 p.m. first pitch. The game against Findlay will be the first on the new turf for the Falcons and one of six home games scheduled in the month of March, hosting Ohio, Tiffin and Oakland over the month. In total, Bowling Green is set for 20 home games, including hosting this year's Battle of I-75. As part of the rivalry, the annual Fifth Third Field game for this season is set for May 12.
Coach Hallock on the 2026 Schedule:
"We are looking forward to the quality of opponents that our 2026 schedule presents. From nationally ranked programs, to conference champions, to 30-plus win teams, every game will be an opportunity to measure ourselves. Our conference is continuing to improve from top to bottom, and a quality non-conference slate will prepare us to compete at a high level with the rest of the MAC. We are looking forward to hosting our fans and supporters out at the new-look Steller Field. Come on out and wear orange!"
The Non-Conference Schedule
The 2026 season for the Falcons will start against Georgia Tech, marking the first time since 2022 the Falcons will start a season in a state other than Tennessee. The series will begin on Feb. 13, carrying through Feb. 15. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 2025 campaign that resulted in a 41-19 record, an ACC Regular Season title, a trip to the ACC Tournament Semifinals and a bid in the Oxford Regional of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.Â
From there, the Falcons will transition to the state of North Carolina, facing the Western Carolina Catamounts in a three-game series beginning on Feb. 20. The Catamounts posted a 30-28 record last year and had five players selected in the 2025 MLB Draft.Â
The first midweek game of the season will follow on Feb. 24 against Cincinnati. The Bearcats are coming off a 33-26 record as well as an NCAA Regionals appearance. They also cracked the top 25 last year for the first time in program history. Â

After the Samford series, the non-conference schedule for the Falcons will transition to midweek contests with the MAC schedule starting. The first on the docket will be a road Tuesday matchup against Dayton March 10. The Flyers will return the favor with a trip to Steller Field on April 14.Â
