BGSU Baseball To Welcome Back Jim Joyce As First Pitch Dinner Keynote Speaker

Falcons’ Third Annual First Pitch Dinner To Be Held On January 24
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team has announced the third annual First Pitch Dinner ahead of the 2026 campaign, set for Jan. 24. This year, the Falcons will be joined by 1977 BGSU baseball alum and long-time Major League Baseball umpire, Jim Joyce, as the keynote speaker for the event. During his career, Joyce umpired three World Series.
The First Pitch Dinner will run 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Lenhard Grand Ballroom. The event festivities will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner and programming beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eight-top tables are $750 and table sponsors are $1,200. Single registration is $100. The First Pitch Dinner will allow fans to connect and support the players while previewing the 2026 season. Attendees will be able to share a meal, socialize and listen to speakers. In addition to Joyce, attendees will hear from Head Coach Kyle Hallock, Director of Athletics Derek van der Merwe and BGSU Baseball current student-athletes.
