Scardina Earns CCHA Forward of the Week After Four Point Outing Against the Wildcats

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association has recognized four student-athletes as its Players of the Week for the previous week of competition. Bowling Green's Ethan Scardina was named CCHA Forward of the Week, his first CCHA honor of the season and his career. Scardina finished the weekend with four points: 2G, 2A, 4P over a two-game series against Northern Michigan.

This is Scardina's first weekly conference award of the season and career. Bowling Green now has earned seven CCHA weekly awards and two CCHA Forward of the week awards for the 2024-25 season. Junior Brett Pfoh earned CCHA Forward of the Week in the first week of the season and junior Dalton Norris, earning twice, sophomore Breck McKinley and sophomore Gustav Stjernberg earned CCHA Defenseman of the Week, while senior Christian Stoever earned CCHA Goaltender of the Week.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Ethan Scardina, Graduate, Bowling Green
Scardina earned his first multi-point series of the season against the Northern Michigan Wildcats. The British Columbia native's four points this past weekend is the most in a two- game series since Feb 9-10, 2024, when he recorded four points against the Lake Superior State Lakers. The graduate forward had a crucial block in overtime that set up the eventual game-winning goal by senior Jackson Niedermayer. Scardina finished the weekend with six shots including typing a season high four in the second game of the series.
