HIGH SCHOOL: In his three years with the Spartans, he had a combined record of 12-5 on the hill with 142 strikeouts in 112 innings pitched…as a junior he tossed 54 innings with a 1.90 ERA and 57 strikeouts and was named to the All-Federal League Honorable Mention Team…as a senior he hurled a no-hitter against the Youngstown-Ursuline Fighting Irish…was ranked 29th on the Buckeye Scout Top-100 Senior Watch List…finished 2009 with 58 innings pitched, 65 strikeouts and a 1.70 earned run average…as a senior he was named team captain and was named to the First Team All-Federal League…was 4-2 last summer in the Youngstown Class B League with a 2.41 ERA in 32.0 innings or work…
